This sharp characteristic makes silicon carbide sanding belts perfect for sanding objects that are pressure and heat sensitive such as stone, granite, marble, cement, and glass, in addition to epoxy, resin, paint, fiberglass, plastic, rubber and some non-ferrous metals (aluminum, titanium, bronze, brass, etc.). It is commonly used to remove various coatings such as adhesives or paints. These belts may be used for either wet or dry sanding applications as they are waterproof and oil resistant.
